2.Features of Fireguard 7000
  • Fireguard 7000 is one of the bromine series flame retardants excellent in heat resistance.
  • Fireguard 7000 is a non-blooming type flame retardant.
  • Fireguard 7000 is a flame retardant especially effective for resins with high-molding temperature, such as polyester and polycarbonate.
  • Although Fireguard 7000 is effective using by itself, it can further improve effectiveness in joint use with a flame retardant synergist such as antimony trioxide.
  • Fireguard 7000 can perform excellent flame retarding effect for engineering plastics such as PBT resin and polycarbonate resin.
  • Fireguard 7000 can perform excellent flame retarding effect for styrene series resins such as polystyrene and ABS.

Rate of temperature increase: 20℃/min

  1. Since toxic gas may be generated during processing, install ventilation facilities to prevent gas inhalation.
  2. Since the discoloring of resin or the rusting / corrosion of processing machines occur depending on conditions, avoid severe processing conditions.
  3. As for the screw, mold, and other parts of a processing machine, which directly contact with high-temperature resin, use materials with corrosion resistance in such a way as applying hard chromium plating.
  4. Clean the equipment carefully after use.

  • As for the detail of other safety measures, refer to the material safety data sheet (MSDS).
  • Eye contact:  Flush with a large amount of running water, and get medical attention if something goes wrong.

3.Features of Fireguard 7500
  • Fireguard 7500 is one of the bromine series flame retardants excellent in heat resistance.
  • Fireguard 7500 is a non-blooming type flame retardant.
  • Fireguard 7500 is a flame retardant especially effective for resins with high-molding temperature, such as polyester, polycarbonate, and polystyrene resin.
  • In Fireguard 7500, melting temperature has been slightly lowered (10-20℃) compared with Fireguard 7000, which help improve dispersion performance.
  • Although Fireguard 7500 is effective using by itself, it can further improve effectiveness in joint use with flame retardant synergist such as antimony trioxide.
  • Fireguard 7500 can perform excellent flame retardant effect for PBT and styrene series resins such as polystyrene and ABS.

  • Fireguard 8500 is one of the bromine series flame retardants excellent in heat resistance.
  • Since Fireguard 8500 contains TBP (tribromophenol) as a terminal stopper, it has higher bromine content than FG-7000 series.
  • Fireguard 8500 is a non-blooming type flame retardant.
  • Fireguard 8500 is a flame retardant effective for resins with high-molding temperature, such as polyester and polycarbonate.
  • Although Fireguard 8500 is effective using by itself, it can further improve effectiveness in joint use with flame retardant synergist such as antimony trioxide.
  • Fireguard 8500 can perform excellent flame retarding effect for engineering plastics such as PBT resin and polycarbonate resin.
  • Fireguard 8500 can perform excellent flame retarding effect for styrene series resins such as polystyrene and ABS.
